Connolly Ranch is filled with new and exciting sounds, smells and sights that will naturally ignite your little one’s five senses and create an opportunity for you to discover, explore and play in our magical outdoor setting.
In a fast moving world, we value the importance of slowing down and focusing on the present. From feeling the softness of a sheep’s wool, to smelling and tasting the blooming flowers and veggies in our edible garden, to simply enjoying the fresh air in our wild spaces, our open - ended environment offers a special experience for even the tiniest of visitors. In the colder seasons we welcome our young explorers into the warm greenhouse, yurt, and cozy small house while continuing their connection with nature.

About Parent-Child Classes
Sounds Of Nature
(Ages 0-2)
Whether feeling the softness of a sheep’s wool, feeding pumpkin to a pig or tasting tomatoes and figs in our edible garden, Sounds of Nature allows our smallest ranchers to become familiar with the wonders of the natural world. This class fosters a safe and cozy environment for children who are just getting used to group settings and who may be meeting animals for the first time. By slowing down and modeling how to interact with everything from art to the farm animals, the children soon begin to feel that the ranch is a place created just for them. Circle time, music, song, yoga are all parts of what make this class for our little ones so special. Kiddos range from sleeping infants to active toddlers and this program is built for both! Grandparents and family members are always welcome to join us too!
Nature’s Play
Ages 2 - 3)
Nature’s Play
At Nature’s Play we engage together in the great outdoors through hands-on exploration. Children are given ample time to exert their energy and to move their active bodies. Whether digging with shovels in the sand pit in our Grove, climbing the hill to visit Grandmother Oak, raking hay in the barn or planting seeds in the greenhouse, this age group stays busy and industrious! Ready to face the ranch head on, our hour together flies by with art exploration, circle time, visiting animals and engaging in open ended play.
This class is a great introduction to our Playschool program as it builds confidence and a strong connection to the Ranch. We are always amazed to see how time in Nature’s Play fosters the children’s independence so that they are ready for the next stage of their learning. It is with great joy that we often see our former Nature’s Play children leading the way with their teachers in Playschool!
