Virtual Field Trip - Adopt an Animal

Experience the Connolly Ranch Virtual Field Trip - Adopt an Animal program. You can ask questions and experience animals up close and personal without leaving your classroom. Having a class pet can bring a lot of great learning opportunities to your classroom, however a classroom may not always be the best environment for an animal. It can often be bright, noisy and chaotic for the animal.

Benefits of The Program:

  • Runs one Wednesday a month from December 2021 through March 2022

  • Lead by Connolly Ranch’s Lead Outdoor Educator

  • Four 20 minute Live Streams, each with a different SEL (Social and Emotional Learning) theme

  • Activities align with Next Generation Science Standards

  • Expands on California’s education code by teaching “kindness towards domestic pets and the humane treatment of living creatures” (California Codes, Education Code, Title 1, Division 1, Part 1, Chapter 2: Educational Equality, Article 5: Hate Violence Prevention Act, 233.5(a)).

  • $100 - Flat rate pricing per classroom for 4 Live Streams!

Live Streams runs from December 2021 through March 2022

Live stream will occur on a Wednesday at 9:15 AM PST for 20 minutes for K-2nd Students

Live streams will occur on a Wednesday at 10 AM PST for 20 minutes for 3rd - 8th Students

  • Chickens- K-2nd Grade Students - December 1st, January 12th, February 2nd and March 2nd

  • Goats - 3th-5th Grade Students - December 8th, January 19th, February 9th and March 9th

  • Donkeys - 6th-8th Grade Students - December 15th, January 26th, February 16th and March 16th
