Mindful Makers Kids Classes

April 13, 2025 | 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM

Pollinator Garden Tour and Recycled Hummingbird Feeders

Get ready for a fun, creative adventure with purpose! In this hands-on class, kids will craft vibrant hummingbird feeders using recycled glass bottles and upcycled containers—turning everyday items into beautiful, functional works of art that support local wildlife.

As they design and assemble their feeders, kids will learn about sustainability, the power of reuse, and how small actions can make a big difference for the environment. This isn’t just a craft—it’s a meaningful project that kids can proudly take home and hang up, knowing it helps care for the hummingbirds in their own backyards.

After the art-making, we’ll take a guided walk through our blooming pollinator garden to see nature in action. We’ll search for hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies while learning how these incredible creatures help plants grow and how we can help protect their habitats.

It’s an enriching blend of creativity, environmental stewardship, and outdoor discovery—perfect for young nature lovers and budding artists alike!

Upcoming Classes:

May 4: Kids Class: Papel Picado Flags- In this hands-on workshop, you’ll explore the art of papel picado, a traditional Mexican folk art where intricate designs are cut into colorful paper or fabric to create decorative banners. We’ll put a sustainable spin on this tradition by using natural dyes made from plants and vibrant scraps of recycled fabric!

May 18: Family Class: Pizza Making Family Class- Join us for a fun-filled Family Pizza Making Class at the Ranch! Gather your loved ones and come learn how to make the perfect pizza using our brand-new pizza oven. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a first-time chef, this hands-on class is designed for all ages and skill levels. (tickets purchased are per family)
