Bird Watching Hike and Recycled Bird Feeders

Join us on a Feathered Adventure!
Grab your explorer hats and get ready for a birdwatching journey through the trees! We're going on a magical hike, where we'll listen carefully to the hidden songs of the forest. Birds are like nature’s secret language experts, and we’ll be tuning our ears to understand the chirps, tweets, and whistles they use to talk to each other. From the soft “chirp-chirp” of the sparrows to the bold calls of the hawks, we’ll discover how every bird has a special story to tell. Can you hear the birds’ secret messages? Let’s become bird detectives and learn to "speak" the language of the wild!"

After our exciting bird hike, where we learned the secrets of the birds' songs, it's time to become bird heroes! We'll return to our base camp and get crafty by creating our very own recycled bird feeders. Using materials that might otherwise be thrown away, we’ll make colorful and creative bird feeders to hang in our backyards or local parks. These feeders will help our feathered friends find food as the weather warms up, while showing off our artistic side. Let’s give back to nature and help the birds enjoy a tasty treat, all while having fun and being kind to the planet!

Upcoming Classes:

May 4: Kids Class: Papel Picado Flags- In this hands-on workshop, you’ll explore the art of papel picado, a traditional Mexican folk art where intricate designs are cut into colorful paper or fabric to create decorative banners. We’ll put a sustainable spin on this tradition by using natural dyes made from plants and vibrant scraps of recycled fabric!

May 18: Family Class: Pizza Making Family Class- Join us for a fun-filled Family Pizza Making Class at the Ranch! Gather your loved ones and come learn how to make the perfect pizza using our brand-new pizza oven. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a first-time chef, this hands-on class is designed for all ages and skill levels.

June 8: Kids Class: Mindfulness Class- Join us for a Mindfulness Class for Kids and let your kids discover the power of calm and focus! This interactive class is designed to teach children simple techniques for managing their emotions, staying present, and finding peace in their everyday lives.

June 22: Family Class- Details to follow
