In English & Spanish: Day 2: Pigs In The Pen
Uh oh…the pigs got out of their pen! How will we ever round them back up? Gear up and get ready to help get the pigs in the pen AND get them to stay put with this gross-motor activity!
Here’s what you’ll need:
Pink balloons
Sharpie
Laundry basket/box/ a group of chairs (something to use as a pen)
Paddles
Activity:
Grab some paddles (ping pong, beach paddle ball, even a pool noodle!) or make your own from paper plates and popsicle sticks! Blow up a bunch of balloons, pink for the pigs, and let them go all over the place. Have your child try to get the pigs back into their pen (laundry basket or box) using only their paddle. NO HANDS!
Extensions:
How quickly can the pigs be rounded up? How slowly?
Count how many taps it takes to get a pig into his house.
If you have two or more kiddos, ask them to work together. They have to take turns tapping the balloon until they reach the pen.
If all else fails, your child’s hand will make an excellent paddle!
Make a maze to get to the “pen”. If you are inside, start with the balloons in one room and have the children paddle them through the house to another room.
Día 2: Cerdos en el Corral
Oh oh… ¡los cerdos salieron de su corral! ¿Cómo los regresaremos? ¡Prepárate para ayudar a que los cerdos entren en el corral Y conseguir que se queden quietos con esta actividad de motricidad gruesa!

Actividad:
¡Coge algunas raquetas (ping pong, pelota de playa e incluso un fideo de piscina!) O haz las tuyas con platos de papel y palitos de helado. Infla un montón de globos, rosas para los cerdos, y déjalos ir por todos lados. Haz que tu hijo intente volver a meter a los cerdos en su corral (canasta o caja de ropa sucia) usando solo su raqueta. ¡SIN MANOS!
Extensiones:
¿Qué tan rápido se pueden acorralar a los cerdos? ¿Qué tan lento?
Cuenta cuántos golpecitos se necesitan para que un cerdo entre en su casa.
Si tienes dos o más hijos, pídeles que trabajen juntos. Deben turnarse para golpear el globo hasta llegar al corral.
Si todo lo demás falla, ¡la mano de su hijo será una excelente raqueta!
Haz un laberinto para llegar al "corral". Si está dentro, comienza con los globos en una habitación y pide a los niños que los empujen a través de la casa hasta otra habitación.
